Dear employer,

The privacy legislation is becoming more strict. Cappital is looking into which the consequences this has for our execution and service to you. Fortunately, you do not need to make arrangements with us. In this newsletter, you can read more about this.

General Data Protection Regulation replaces Personal Data Protection Act
 

On 25 May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG*) will come into effect. The AVG is to replace the Personal Data Protection Act (Wbp*). With this, the right to privacy is going to increase.​

You do not need to arrange for a processing agreement with Aegon PPI
The AVG differentiates between those responsible for the execution on the one hand, and the executors on the other. AEGON Nederland, of which Aegon PPI is part, is the party responsible for the execution. This means that we ourselves decide how to process personal data. We process the personal data of your employers to meet the legal demands that apply to us as a pension administrator. So, we do not act on the instruction of an employer regarding this. Therefore, you do not need to come to a processing agreement with us.

*In Dutch, the General Data Protection Regulation is the Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG), and the Personal Data Protection Act is the Wet bescherming persoonsgegevens (Wbp).

Invoice tab on the employers portal has a different look
 

You or your advisor delivers the data of your employees on the employers portal every month. Also, you can view and download the invoice and the specification on the employers portal. You can do this through the tab ‘Nota’ (‘Invoice’). As of today this tab has a different look.

The changes summed up:

  • You directly see the invoices of this year. Choose a different year if you want to view the invoices of that year.
  • If you view the specification of your correction invoice, you now see the column ‘Saldo’ ('Balance'). There the amount you have to pay for your employee is listed. It is the difference between the premium amount you paid already and the new premium amount.
    For example: The premium for an employee was € 150 in January, but should have been € 200. Then you see € 50 in the column ‘Saldo’ ('Balance'). 
    Is the premium negative? Then you see a minus sign with the amount in the column ‘Premie’('Premium'). Before the plusses and minuses were in a different column before the column ‘Premie’ ('Premium').
  • On the screen you now see a second tab. Here you view and download the total premium per employee.
