More options for your employees

Dear employer,

The law was amended in last year´s fall. Your employees now have more options to steer the development of their retirement pension. This is why we will adjust the Pension Subscription as of 1 October 2017. This newsletter tells you what will change and how we will help your employees to make an informed choice.
 
 
 
Opting for a fixed or a variable pension
 
When your employees retire, they will be able to choose between a fixed or a variable pension.
 
 
Fixed pension. A fixed pension stands for certainty. Employees who opt for this type of pension, purchase a pension payment for the rest of their retirement years all at once. They know exactly how much pension they will receive every month.
 
Variable pension. We continue to invest part of the pension capital after the retirement date. This causes the amount of the monthly pension payment to vary each year. Though a variable pension offers less certainty, it is expected to yield more.
 
The differences between a fixed and a variable pension
 
 
The choice on retirement date defines today´s investment route
 
Your employees choose a fixed or variable pension on their retirement date. Still, it makes sense for them to take into account now the choice they will make then. This allows them to steer the development of their investments.
 
 
Steering towards a fixed pension. The investment risk is gradually reduced as the retirement date approaches. This gives certainty.
 
Steering towards a variable pension. The risk is reduced less quickly. After all, part of the pension capital continues to be invested after the retirement date. This increases the chances of a higher pension.
 
 
We are adjusting the Offensive Life Cycle
 

With Life Cycle investments your employees determine their investment profile and choose one of the three Life Cycles. The Defensive and Neutral Life Cycles are aimed at a fixed pension. The Offensive Life Cycle is aimed at a variable pension. This is why we will adjust the Offensive Life Cycle.

Fixed or variable - it is a highly personal choice. Not everyone is willing to take much risk with their pension. In order to help your employees to make a choice we introduce the new profile guide. Your employees will know in just five minutes:
 
 
How much investment risk they are able to take. We determine this based on their financial situation.
 
How much risk they are willing to take. We call this your employees' risk appetite.
 
Their preference for a fixed or variable pension.
 

Your employees inform us of their investment choice via the profile guide.

 
We will inform your employees in August
 

In late August we will inform your employees about the new options.
